Lecture: Surrey and the New Space Revolution by Prof. Craig Underwood
Wilfrid Noyce Centre, Friday 21st February, 7.30pm-9pm
Craig Underwood is Emeritus Professor of Spacecraft Engineering at the University of Surrey. His lecture tells the story of how Surrey pioneered the “New Space” revolution.

Mary Countess of Meath, A Life Dedicated to Others

Discover the story of Mary Jane Maitland, the 12th Countess of Meath, and visionary founder of The Meath Epilepsy Charity. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about a woman whose philanthropy made such a lasting impact not only in Godalming but around the world.
Learn more about her incredible work and legacy with an exhibition accompanied by a range of handcrafted items inspired by the Countess and made by the people currently supported at The Meath.
Charterhouse Art Takeover in Godalming
Tuesday 18th February to Saturday 15th March 2025
Throughout the month of February, Charterhouse School is showcasing artwork created by year groups from 9 to 12. From textiles to photography and painting, there is a diverse range of ideas and media within the exhibition. Charterhouse students have worked extremely hard to wonderfully creative and exciting pieces. Visit Godalming Museum to see a body of students’ work, along with a list of other exhibiting venues.

Where could we find life in space? What would that mean for us? Could anything prepare us for it? Join us for an evening of fascinating discussion and exploration as we delve into these profound questions about life beyond Earth.
Dr David Whitehouse is a former BBC Science correspondent and astronomer with a doctorate from Jodrell Bank.

Along the Wey and Beyond, by Emma Thompson

The exhibition shares Emma’s journey along the River Wey using needlepoint and tapestry pictures.
